Eva Steinaa

(b. 1993) started to have oboe lessons at the age of nune under Eva Holck at the Copenhagen Music School. She was subsequently accepted as a basic course of music (MGK) student at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, since when she has studied under Joakim Dam Thomsen and Max Artved. At the age of 17, she was accepted as a student at RDAM, where she at present studies in the soloist class.

On a number of occasions, Eva Steinaa has been a soloist with Danish symphony orchestras and she won 2nd prize at the Øresund Solist and gold medal in the Berlingske Classical Music Competition in 2009. In 2013, she had a contract as 1st soloist oboist in the South Denmark Philharmonic. Later the same year, she gained a position as 1st solo oboist in The Danish National Symphony Orchestra. In 2014, she was awarded the P2 Talent Prize.

The scholarship

The scholarship of DKK 60,000 will be used for studies under Francois Leleux and Stefan Schilli in Munich as well as under Jonathan Kelly, Albrecht Mayer, Christoph Hartmann, Alexei Ogrintchouk and Jaques Tys in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
